ARCHWALKTHROUGH

General FAQs

Interactive walkthroughs are digital simulations that allow users to explore and navigate a virtual space in real-time. They provide an immersive experience by enabling users to move through a property or design as if they were physically present.

Virtual reality (VR) tours are immersive experiences that use VR technology to create a 3D, 360-degree view of a space. Users can interact with and explore the environment using VR headsets, providing a highly realistic sense of being in the actual location.

These technologies help architects and designers by providing a more immersive and accurate representation of their designs. This can improve client understanding, enhance presentations, and allow for real-time feedback and adjustments, leading to a more iterative and efficient design process.

Absolutely! Interactive walkthroughs and VR tours are powerful marketing tools that can showcase properties to potential buyers or investors in an engaging and memorable way. They help highlight a property’s features and layout more effectively than static images.

Our platform allows users to switch between different color themes, materials, and mood boards with just a few clicks. This feature helps users visualize various design options and make informed decisions. Please watch our “How to use” videos on our YouTube channel.

You will need a VR headset compatible with our platform to view a VR tour. Oculus Quest 2 is a perfect choice. However, our interactive walkthroughs can also be accessed on standard desktops, tablets, and smartphones without the need for additional equipment.

Users can provide real-time feedback during the tour by using integrated communication tools within the platform. Designers or real estate agents can immediately address this feedback, making the process more interactive and collaborative.

Of course! Interactive walkthroughs and VR tours are excellent for individuals planning to build their homes. They allow you to visualize your future home in detail, explore different design options, and make informed decisions before construction begins.

Yes, these technologies can help identify potential design conflicts or construction issues early in the process. By exploring the virtual space, users can detect clashes or discrepancies that might not be evident in static images, saving time and costs.

Interactive walkthroughs and VR tours can reduce the likelihood of costly changes during construction by identifying issues early and allowing for real-time adjustments based on feedback. This leads to a more streamlined and efficient construction process.

FAQs for Walkthroughs and VR Tours

You can submit 3D Max archived models. If your project is designed using other software such as Revit or Sketchup, it must be saved and archived correctly.

Your file must include all objects and textures, integrated with connected heights and levels if the project has more than one floor. Floors should be correctly connected with stairs in a single 3D Max file.

Projects should have a low poly count for efficient processing. The standard is approximately 4 million polygons, and files should not exceed 8 to 12 million polygons. Further optimization, if needed, will incur additional fees.

Objects must be three-dimensional with depth, unwrapped and flattened, and should use instances for identical objects. All objects must have corrected Latin names for easy identification, and multi-component objects must be attached, not grouped.

Objects should not interfere with each other, and the correct scale must be used to ensure accuracy in the final product.

Yes, all renders of the submitted model should be included to help us understand the spaces, objects, textures, and colors. The submitted 3D Max model must match the renders.

Yes, any necessary modifications beyond those already included in our packages will incur additional fees to meet the specified guidelines.

Failure to adhere to the guidelines may result in delays and increased costs in producing deliverables.

The 2D Drawings must be complete with all necessary plans, dimensions, sections, and other relevant details. References such as mood boards or brainstorming data should also be provided.

We design the property based on the client’s comments, taste, and mood board. Initial designs are presented through rendered images for confirmation before final deliverables are produced.

Yes, clients can request modifications during the initial design phase. Two rounds of modifications are included free of charge in some packages, which are already mentioned on the service ordering page. Fundamental changes are not possible once the design is done as it is based on the initial brainstorming and mood board.

Timely communication and approval from the client are essential to ensure smooth project progress. Delays in feedback or approvals will extend the overall project timeline.

Yes, any modifications beyond the two free rounds or fundamental changes that deviate from the initial design will incur additional fees and extend the project timeline.

The work duration starts once our team verifies and approves the required data, per the purchased package. Any client feedback or approval delays are not included in the work duration and will be added to the overall timeline.

FAQs for Using Microsoft Windows (.exe) Walkthroughs

After extracting the file, navigate to the folder. Find and double-click the “.exe” file and wait for the model to load. If prompted by Microsoft Windows, accept, run, or allow the executable.

If the model does not load, loads partially, or operates improperly, your device’s graphic card driver is likely not installed, updated, or capable. Ensure your graphics driver is up to date.

Once the model is loaded, use your mouse to rotate 360 degrees and the keyboard buttons “W, S, A, and D” to move forward, backward, left, and right, respectively. Use the right mouse button to zoom in.

You can exit the model by pressing “ESC” or “Alt + F4” on your keyboard.

Yes, we can provide several tools within the model to change colors, materials, mood boards according to your taste.

While walking around, look for pop-up icons in different areas. When you are close to a pop-up, press the “Tab” key to display the list of relevant options. You can then change between the options and see the results. Close the tool’s menu by clicking on the “X” on the screen and pressing “Tab” to continue navigating with the mouse.
